Keeping the Parents outside the School Gate—A Critical Review

The existing evidence shows that parental engagement is one of the most effective educational interventions. Most parents, carers, and teachers are aware wish to engage with their children’s education. However, parents still only peripherally involved through parent–teacher evenings, school activities, or by helping children keep up homework. In this review paper, we summarize about impact engagement, as opposed involvement, on learning children. Via that, critically look at design choice western mainstream public education systems distance from education, which, results indicate, can be detrimental learning. Based these results, reframe in light two global shifts: (1) implications closures during COVID-19 pandemic for role learning; (2) increased use technologies learning, specifically, rise artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. We conclude calling a renewed conversation parents’ families’ roles interface schools teachers.
